Well, got home last night after cabbing class, took a look at the cabs we've created this month and realized I had no more excuses. Time to get my fingers back into the swing of things. We've been learning how to cab with both slabs and rock (I love grinding a small-ish pretty rock to find even more pretty inside!) Got so focused that dinner was late...and so was bedtime LOL
I would post pictures of the 3 and my cabs if someone would help me...my pics are in Google photos and when I try to link the url all that show is a tiny icon.

I started a flickr acct and had the same problem. You need to find the BBC code to copy & paste here. Deb was nice enough to show me how in flickr. I don't know anything about google photo but if you go read this thread: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/post/739843/thread there's lots of instructions. Photo Bucket seems to be the hands down favorite site to use

photobucket works best for me because the links for putting the photos on to the forum are right next to the photos when you open them up to view one at a time. just click on the box marked 'img' and then right click on the thread and 'paste' the code right onto your page. The only way anyone else is going to see your google photos is if you share them with someone else. I think, I don't use google photo either. Photobucket is pretty easy to use though, I would recommend it myself.

What Karen and Mario said - Photobucket is the easiest! It's what I use, too.
Would love to see your wraps! Jean

Thanks for the tips. I tried Photobucket out a while back and didn't like it. Google works for me personally, so will either figure it out - or not share...

Those will work! Just instead of pasting it in as a link, paste it in as a photo. Click the photo icon ("insert image"), sixth box from the right in the menu bar above, insert the URL. (Make sure the "http" etc, is only there once. Testing Okay, it's an extra click for you all, but you can see my pictures! The above is all of the cabs my hubby & I have made this past month. Some from slabs, most from "pretty" rocks. Here's the first wire wrap, front: Back: It's also the very first Cab I made. Not quite symmetrical (the cab), loved the small orange on the side. Wrap two is a rock that I picked up in a dry riverbed. Kept the shape, not happy with the back! Wrap three was another river rock, looked totally different before grinding off the outside. I learned a lot doing this wrap. Front: Back: Tired and sore fingertips today, will tackle some more tomorrow You are doing great, just keep at it!

Wow, when I tried that all I saw were little, teeny tiny icons. Thanks for the help & re-posting...a little scary seeing them bigger than life size

Hi love your wraps. I am just getting ready to try wrapping for the 1st time. My pliers just arrived as well as some copper wire to start with. What size wire did you use in your wraps? Thanks Stu

18 & 20 gauge wire for the girdle and 21 - 24 gauge wire for the wraps. I didn't really like the 24 gauge twisted wire for wrapping, hard to tell if the wraps are snug, and then they loosened up during construction. 18 gauge is not as easily manipulated, I would start with 20 gauge And don't forget to wrap tape around your pliers - you may still get marks on the wire but they should buff out.

they look very good... keep up the good work, I'm always happy to see what others do, allows my mind to work on wrapping styles by blending all that I see from others into my own style.
