Wow, that bottle glass came out really nice. I never thought of doing the blue stuff. Used to pick up broken purple or pale blue glass on the desert for tumbling and it was pretty fun.....Mel

Nice, Chuck, awesome tumble. Brilliant shine (as usual), but whodathunk that blue glass could come out so cool? Ditto what Mark said, who is this guy?? Great job.

I did not think I'd like tumbled glass, but I was wrong. That's really cool. Too bad I don't like wine and beer doesn't usually come in blue bottles.

Rob, you need friends that imbibe! But I hear (I think it was from Blue Sky Susan) that the blue beer bottles (Budweisser?) are thinner. You're better off using the thicker-walled wine bottles.

Great batch! Those two Montanas in the second picture are really sweet and it looks like you've nailed down glass tumbling!

How many times has it been said, you can't polish glass and rocks together? Not only did you prove that wrong, you did a fine job of it, and used a very nice color of glass to do it. Thanks for the show.

man you rocked that tumble. Do you run heavy on ceramic or just throw it all in and let it go?

man you rocked that tumble. Do you run heavy on ceramic or just throw it all in and let it go? I normally do my obsidian at 50 percent ceramic but this batch had less then 25 percent ceramic. I have 25 pounds of obsidian in various stages right now and plan to keep running what ever is ready each week in my mixed batches then when its all done I am going to run all the obsidian again in dedicated batches the right way. Right now the obsidian is basically being used as filler. Chuck

Wow, ceramic too. Glass is the test. A challenge at best. Learning new tricks. Gotta have used a Lotto ?

How funny. My kids did the same thing over the winter. I did not even think of posting the pics. We are going to string them together from some driftwood and hang them in the window. We saw some examples of this up north and they look really nice.
Let me guess, Blue Herron wine?
Oh, the rocks look nice too :-)

We don't drink wine but it did turn into a cool project. To be honest I liked the glass better after the 500 stage where it was perfectly smooth and nicely rounded but still frosted like you would find on a beach. My son disagreed and wanted them polished so that's what we did. Chuck

I have a bunch of the frosted, I'll post some pics. No blue but plenty of green, brown and clear.

An incident in college helped me develop a distaste for vodka, so no.
