100% cool. I thought about getting one about 20 years ago. Never got around to it. Maybe this year.

Those are super cool! Are they all in separate cages, or are can they live together? Could you post a picture of where they live?

Those are awesome! Do you handle them much. How big do they get? What the smallest container they can live in comfortably?

habitat images would be awesome.
Would love to see "un-fired" images of all of those too. Nice to see the change from calm to fired up! Specially archimedes.

Amazing colors and builds. Must be the most colored critter on earth. The grabbing feet are surreal.

All Panther chameleons and most chameleons in general are housed separately to reduce stress as there is always one that's dominant- the exceptions are Pygmy chameleons and a few other smaller montane (cooler mountainous regions of Africa and Madagascar) species. I'll get some enclosure pics posted on this thread.

I do handle them each at least a couple times a week, but with all of these guys, plus 3 adult females and 1 juvie female, plus 15 hatchling's (of 24 eggs in this clutch) and counting, I don't get to handle every individual everyday, if I only had a couple, I would hand feed and/or handle them every day - or as they see fit cause their mood dictates that, but generally speaking Panthers can be pretty docile. Smallest container for a full grown male should be nothing less than 24 x 24 x 48 - they need height more than width as they are arboreal creatures.

The 3rd and 4th pics of Aristotle are his different resting colors, he was always changing his color schemes when resting - typical Ambilobe - I've never seen Cheech get fired up, not even when he bred - hence his completely "chill out mannnn" name - probably the most docile adult male I've come across yet. Plato is still yet to show me his fired up colors, but with warm temps expected on Thursday I'll get them outside for some pics where they can see each other at a distance & that usually does the trick. And Jupiter - he's still a "pup" so he gets fired up whenever the cage door opens - going through his terrible teens so we'll see how he turns out in another 5-6 months for his big boy colors.

I've put together some notes on my FB page that answer all of the basic regarding pretty much all aspects of Panther chameleon care - even where to get what you need, but here is a link to my thoughts on Panthers and their care for those interested in learning more about them: www.facebook.com/notes/neo-chams/my-thoughts-on-panther-chameleons-and-their-care/214031862080180If posting this link violates any forum rules please let me know and I'll remove it and send it via PM's for those who want it.

Thanks for showing these, awesome colors !!! What's the average lifespan ? I have two leopard geckos that I've had since they were hatchlings and they are 18 years old now. Starting to think they might outlive me.

Starting to think they might outlive me. Thanks for the compliment, it's a labor of love! Average lifespan - that entirely depends on who you ask, as with most things chameleon related. I'd say 5 is very realistic for most keepers and 7-10 is getting up there but 7 is probably average- with proper husbandry of course.

I guess mine are still youngsters. Maintenance on them is a lot easier than the Panther Chameleons.

Here are a few of my enclosures, I currently have 16 going with 2-3 home made backups for extra babies. This is the largest one where Archimedes resides in 1/2 of it and Plato in the other 1/2. Here are a couple of enclosures I keep some of my adult females in Juvenile male enclosure - good till they hit about a year old: Here is one of my homemade baby enclosure, with babies in it if you look closely: And finally, a reference shot for the size of the babies when there are born, this one is a day old:

Wow, you have a zoo in your basement. Do you sell these to pet stores or directly to consumers? Wait, that sounded like people are going to eat them, but you know what I mean, right?

Those are so beautiful!! And it is interesting to hear they kind of are interactive. Are these endemic to Madagascar or where? The colors rival the most beautiful coral reef fish. Thank you for posting them. So many cool things in this world!
