It may/may not be too late...try oiling it.. her's a pic. ONE drop of oil at each spot.. keep the oil off of the roller "padding" parts where the barrel rolls on.. just right at the shaft and "bushing" part... slide roller back and forth a couple of times to work the oil inside the bushing..not roll it..slide it lengthwise. wipe excess oil away from shaft(s) afterwards.. re-oil in a week and then every 2-3 weeks or so if yer keeping them rollin non-stop. Wipe the "padded" (the yellow-ish/clear tubing over the metal shaft) part of the roller with a clean rag to keep oil-debris-dust-crap-grit off where the barrel rolls every time ya take barrel off of tumbler.

Gun oil will work as long as it's not a cleaning type oil...just lube! "Cleaning type" gun oil might break the nylon or plastic bushings down.

Thanks Stephent, like I said it seems too be running ok at the moment so im not losing hope yet, and I espically thank you for your advice on not using cleaning type oil, he said that's what he had....so you saved me an even bigger problem before I made another mistake

You NEED to oil it...or you will chew into the shaft material and the housing material where a new bushing replacement (about $4) won't work. OIL it.

Use it but get some oil ASAP.. 3-in-1 oil will work...so will plain old Vaseline applied with a Qtip.

I use one of these little nifty extension tube oilers....the tube slides inside the bottle. And comes out far enuff to reach into tight places. One drop or a dozen is easy. I can oil the side of the bushing next to the pulley even. And reach inside the no oil hole access cheap HF/Chinese motors to oil them too.

well dad helped me out we didn't use a dropper or qtip....he felt them first and said he felt no grinding or wear they seemed smooth, he tapped a wd 40 can on them with the straw attached, I slid the rollers back and forth and whipped everything down, its rolling, he thinks its the belt and we will do that tomorrow, atleast open up and see whats going on..thanks everyone.....dad was a mechanic for a long time I trust him

Now when I started it back up it started to stop and go for a minute, I noticed the little plastic spacer on the side of the frame has teeth now from major friction.....should I just take it off?.........I moved it off the barrel and that went away...or do I need to get a new one (I don't know how much I need it, an why it grinds away so bad, every tumble there is a lot of worn plastic on my lid I have to wipe off)......besides that only thing I can do is look at the belt tommorrow

Can you take a pic of your tumbler like the one I posted and put it on here? I have a hunch.

Are the roller covers (the tubing over the shafts where the barrel turns) centered on the shafts still..more/less? And that little plastic tab should barely clear the frame and very slightly rub the lid...but have you Burped the barrel? those things don't have much clearance and if the tab is too far inside it will force the barrel to the rear and it will rub...so will a *barely* bulging barrel..
