Again, my apologies for the first post with pics that wouldn't show. Went ahead and joined photobucket so that won't happen again Does anyone know how to make the pics a wee bit smaller?? Life and housework got in the way, only finished three. All the cabs are also by me - learning how to do that too. Practice, practice, practice! This one started as a creamy yellow marble-y rock with sugar like crystals. The stone polished out much better than expected, but looked a little plain. The wire design had been in my brain for many months, execution was much harder than expected (as usual!) Posted this on Facebook and it already has a new owner - much to my surprise! Used 20g fancy German silver wire, 21g half round for wrapping, and 18g round, hammered for the frame. Front Back This was a green stone that ground out more grey, with some nice layering. Another design that had resided in my brain for many months - much easier to execute than the first one. Thought I was using 18g square wire - that's what the package it was in said, I must have put it there by mistake as this wire was HARD to manipulate. Probably 16g! 18g half round for wrapping. Yes, I see the rookie mistake on the back, will try to fix it but am scared to try right now Front Back This stone started out red & black, I was delighted to see the pink translucent quartz come out during grinding. Due to the shape of the stone, it's not symmetrical, which gave me lots of design options. This is more like my old style of wrapping and very comfortable to do. My fave of the three. 18g round wire and 22g for wrapping. Trying to show the translucency Front Back Thanks for being patient with a board newbie and thanks for looking! Michelle

Thanks! Hands have been aching from hammering rocks this week, when they feel better will work on a couple more.

Very nice! I like your style. I especially like the heart. I'm no good at them. You did a great job.
