As always, excellent and very creative work. Did you self-collect that pink Texas Springs cast? I have some just like it that I dug long ago. What in the world is that last cab? It's spectacular and I've never seen anything like it.

Ed- you're a poet with words. Maybe you should take up rapping and wrapping. You guessed them all. Bumble bee, azurite malachite and lace. The lace was an experiment. I never made the scallop edge before. Next time, I will make it smaller.

Not even the mountains here have much... well maybe some unakite, which I don't like. I think your thinking that the lace is pink limbcast? I did have a beautiful large cab of it but I sold it already. The azurite with malachite is phenomenal isn't it? I didn't cab it, I bought it. It's all natural and as nice in person. I love it.

Miscommunication on my part Tela. It's the pink limb cast used as background for your Bumblebee wrap. A well-known location for those is Texas Springs, NV.
The azurite-malachite cab is really unusual. I've seen and cut quite a bit of that material from various locations but have never seen any with a polka-dot pattern. Copper minerals are beautiful and full of many surprises.

Copper minerals are beautiful and full of many surprises. I see I'm not really sure where the limbcast came from. A dear friend gave me a few pieces of limbcast years ago, before I started cabbing or really collecting. I have lost the notes. He sent quite a few pretty pieces of wood and a bunch of halved geodes. Some rare ones, too, but again I lost the notes. My friend has passed away so I guess I'll never know. Yes, I was immediately attracted to the azurmalachite as it is so unusual. The price was great, so I had no choice but to buy it. I was forced, I tell ya.

Stu LOL- with a little practice- you'll be another eminem. If you want to hear something really terrible.... just listen to my DH try to rap. Awesomely funny! If you look closely at #2, the top has wires pulled down and the whole right side has wire over the face. It is a really tight wrap and the sides are slanted which means the stone is held in very well. #3 has the loops on the bottom. The wrap is very tight and the girdle is slanted/angled so the stone can not fall out. All of my wraps are very tight and very, very secure. I'm kinda anal abt that.

Really like the scallops on one side, super design detail! You're my role model for wire wrapping
