I have been meaning to post a pictures of this handful of material my son picked up at a rock shop. I really wanted to cab it but he bought and wanted it to tumble so he got his way (this time). Hopefully somebody will be able to chime in with an I.D. I would guess a jasper of some sort Thanks Chuck

looks a little like some kind of leopard skin jasper maybe, but I haven't seen it in that vivid and solid red before. Hopefully someone will chime in with a name.

I have cabbed the normal yellow/gold leopard skin and the red leopard skin before and they are both pretty soft and did not take the shine that this stuff did. Maybe its a poppy jasper? Chuck

yes, it looks more like poppy, but all the poppy I have seen has a different color inside the circles. Strange and nice.

Looks like classic Cave Creek Jasper from Arizona. In it's best form it is a nice poppy jasper in those intense reds.....Mel

Yep, I like it too. Very nice material and the finish does it justice.
