I really like the way you wrapped that turquoise. I am also really liking your new added swivel bails like you did on this palm root too. I need to find some time to wrap something soon. Seeing your stuff always makes me want to try harder.

Tela turquoise is my fav and that is a really nice piece and the wrap just is so fitting a design. It has a southwestern flair with the scalloped bottom!!!

I like to work with bigger stones, but when I have a medium to small one, I keep it small with a prefab bail I get from Rio. The bail is 8.5x5.5mm sterling silver. As to the turquoise.... I tried forever and a day to figure out how to do a decent scallop. Couldn't figure it out. I asked a friend what she would do and in no time she she came up with the solution. I felt dumb! LOL! I'd share, but she asked me not to. I do give her credit, though. You can see her shop at www.cookonstrike.com She makes awesome jewelry .... and she is very clever.

Why thank you I was hoping it would have a Western flair. I love turquoise, too, but it is so dang expensive for the real stuff! I don't have much.

All so pretty! Some day I'm gonna figure out how you keep the top wire so close to the edge and still looking great. I tried to do that and failed

Thanks everyone I was really in a dry spell for awhile, but I really enjoyed working these and feel a little rejuvenated.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean! It looks like most of your wraps have the top wire close to the edge, unless you put shapes into it. Love the look, it's clean and emphasizes the shape of the cab.

When you are building your frame, make sure it is as form fitted as you can get it. Then you only need a hair of wire over the edge to hold the stone in.
