Those are cool!
Scott, the guy I got that Ainsworth balance from used to facet stones in his younger days (he's like 87 now). I didn't see it, but he told me that he recreated the Hope Diamond (not using a diamond, tho', probably a synthetic). When he did it, he had to figure all the facets, angles, size, etc., from photos. Didn't have the real stone (obviously!) to put tracing paper over. That takes some dedication.

The "French Blue" written by Richard W. Wise is an excellent book to read. It's a fictionalized story on Jean-Baptiste Tavernier and the French Blue diamond.
At one time, it was believed by historians that the Hope Diamond had sister stones. GIA published an article on it.
Another good fictional book to read believed to be based on the origin of the Hope or Black Orloff (Orlov/Eye of Brahma) diamond is "The Moonstone" by Wilkie Collins.

Regarding the genesis of a TV show that catapulted Scott's career and connections world wide. A career making opportunity to say the least.

heck that sounds easier than cabbing reeling interning too! .... reeling interning too! ? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?? Translation - "really interesting too!" My tablet tries to put words in my mouth, too. I know I can turn that function off, but sometimes it is useful. You just have to watch it, and keep it in check! Or you can blame it on something else entirely different... lol.
