Howdy folks, Just took a mixed batch it of the UV-10. here are a couple of pics of some of the larger rocks from the batch. Thanks for looking....Mel South Texas Shrinkwood: Flint Ridge Flint: Local flint and bottom, a rare banded agate from the south Texas wood zone. I'm lucky to find one of those per trip. Mixed agate: Chinese Writing Lace, Condor, Cadys, south Texas, Eagle pass etc.

Those are beautiful tumbles, Mel! Stupid question alert * do you tumble the petrified wood with the flint and agate? What's the agate with the golden-colored banding and crystal vug called? It's gorgeous!

*L* Jan, like they say, there are no stupid questions. All the stuff was of similar hardness and toughness so all was done together. The shrinkwood is my favorite too as it has a different weird pattern on every side. It probably took the longest to shape too. Since some of these were larger stones, what my pics do not show is the half the load that was smalls less than 1/2 inch or so. Those help with the surface to surface contact a lot, especially during the polish stage. The banded specimen to the right in the last pic is a sort of plain Condor. Many are much more colorful....Mel

nice looking batch. That rare banded Texas agate is my favorite one. I did not find very much of the pinks or reds on my trip to flint ridge but I like the ones in your picture.
