My husband built me a saw based on the directions I got from manofglass (walt). This is my first cut. Not perfect by any means, but exciting to know what I can now do! Gotta do some modifications to the bucket to make it a little more comfortable for me to cut, but yay! 0524141337 by kradzyniak89, on Flickr 0524141355 by kradzyniak89, on Flickr 0524141353 by kradzyniak89, on Flickr

Awesome job on the cutting & great job to your husband for putting it together for ya, better cuts will come with practice as you get a feel for the saw & different materials!!

Congrats and nice job for the hubby. That's exactly how I started too a year and a half ago ... tinkering in the garage trying to figure out how to cut open some pebbles we found on the beach ... four saws later this is what you can look forward to heehee

Maybe one day Tommy! lol. I'm pretty content with my little saw right now. It only has a 7" blade, so I'm really having to figure out how to cut stones in ways to keep patterns and fit the saw. It's a bit of a pain, but I'm sure it will pay off in the future to understand stones a bit better! I want to get some grinding wheels to use next. All I have for polishing is a vibe tumbler and my husbands belt grinder if I want to take my time and keep dipping my stones.
