Friday night - in between working a bazillion hours this week and driving a thousand miles round trip yesterday to pick up a saw and have a quick BBQ lunch with @shotgunner and his unbelievably lovely family, I managed to finish a few new cabs. These are all from material we have collected this year. Sorry for the lazy group shot haha. From left to right Lahontan Lake Jasper, 4th of July Butte agate, Nevada Wonderstone, and another Lake Lahontan jasper.

Great shine on that wonderstone - is that an agate core?

Great shine on that wonderstone - is that an agate core? Thanks. I'm not sure - the material comes from a very specific place near wonderstone mountain and is highly silicified and takes a fantastic shine. This cab came from just a tiny little scrap I picked up and put in my pocket - didn't think much would come of it but the depth of color in the lines and middle kept jumping out at me.

Great cabs! I really like the one on the right. It's a wonder you got any done, at all. You're a busy guy!

Thanks Roger. My stuff is fairly boring compared to the beauty I see you and others here creating but it's still fun.

"Whatever" Tommy! Your cabs are always terrific. You have a great eye for finding the beauty in the stones you work.

Nice set, I especially like the first Lahontan Lake Jasper, you captured some great patterns.

Lahontan Lake Jaspers both look nice to me as do the other two but the lake ones take first prize.

Selfies all the way around! Self collected, slabbed, cabbed, and eventually wrapped. I really have no idea where you get the energy, or have the time. Yeah, I think you'll need to go with a high energy dog, so he/she can keep up with you.
