i dont have any scales that read such a light weight...i know 30 grams is 1 ounce...but can some 1 basiclly tell me what size a single peice of rough rock that weighs 30 grams or 1 ounce might possibly be...kev.

Fairly small. A silver dollar is one once of silver. A rough rock should be smaller in diameter and a little thicker.

There must be a guess the weight contest again....lol I think the closet value for gram/ounce is 28g/ounce. Of course, density of the rock will make weight vary per volume but here's a rock, it's a rough Woodward ranch agate I think. It's right at 23 gms and there's a Bic pen for reference. Later!
