well in preparation for the tumbling contest I figured I would try something challenging. This is my first full batch of apache tears. I used a modified version of Krystee's tutorial an really couldnt of been any happier with the results. Now its time to stick the contest rocks in the loto. There's about 2.5 lbs here so the rest of the load was all ceramic. Thanks for looking Chuck

Fantastic! I would show pictures of the first batch of apache tears I just did, but you all would laugh at how bad they turned out. These are just incredible. Well done!

Incredible shine Chuck! If you were trying to devastate the competition, this was sure better than any trash talk, LOL.

If you were trying to devastate the competition, this was sure better than any trash talk, LOL. That was not my intention but if it works that's a bonus These are really a pretty easy tumble. With Tntmoms tutorial its just like baking a cake. Just follow directions. I deviate a little here and there but that's just by choice to see how different things effect the final outcome. Chuck

My favorite thing to do with pictures like those are to take a look at the surrounding area. I can see trees, driveway, camera, and the garage door. Fun!

Well thouse look very nice. Now as far as the contest goes the winning rocks are in my tumbler tumbling right now. hey you have a 1 in 16 shot so your odds are not too bad. Only problem is the 15 other people are RTH tumblers . I anticipate the final poll pictures being pretty darn awesome and cant wait to see those get posted. Chuck

Now that is one fine batch of tears, no crying over that one. Outstanding shine, so reflective that some look like hematite. My competition rocks went into the vibe today and coincidentally I started roughing a batch of snowflake and tears. Hope mine come out as good as yours. Following Krystee's recipe so it should go well.

Not often do we see a batch of mtl. so shiny it near hurts the eyes to look at, and obsidian is one of the hardest to get that kind of shine on, well done.
