My 9 yr old came home a couple of days ago with a rock in his pocket and said here dad the librarian at school wants to see if she can get this tumbled or have something made from it. He said it was something she had found on a lake Michigan beach. I have to admit this rock was surely nothing I would normally pick up or do anything with but I figured that being a librarian is probably a pretty thankless job and all the teachers usually get gifts from the kids so why not go ahead and cab and wrap this rock for her. I needed a reason to wrap something anyway since it has been two months since my last one. Thanks for looking Chuck

That is so nice of you! She will love it!
Librarians do seem to be overlooked, I agree. When my granddaughter moved from GA to here, she stayed in contact with her best friend, the school librarian. This woman was a saint and really inspired the grandkids to be the voracious readers that they are today. She even sent my grand daughter care packages for awhile until she was settled in here. She was so sweet.

You made a rather plain rock into something anyone would be proud to wear! It must have meant something for her to pick it up, and you did it justice!

Never hurts to help a child perform an act of kindness. And I am sure the librarian will appreciate it.

Great work and thoughtfulness. Educators of all kinds need to be appreciated for what they do for our future. That was a very pretty and thoughtful way of saying "Thanks" to the librarian!
