Heeeey guys first post, my name's chris and i started about a week ago and haven't stopped its so addicting and i love it! Tried one wrap with a cab but am digging raw crystals a lot. Anyway, in chronological order, here's what ive been up to. 1. Blue quartz 2. Tangerine quartz 3. Amethyst 4. Citrine 5. More tangerine quartz (my favorite so far)

Looks like you just might have a real talent for wrapping. Let's see more.

I lost count of how may techniques you tried out. I like that you are trying so many different things and they all look good, too.

I agree with rock junquie, but, in doing and watching wire wrappers you eventually will fall into one of two groups. You will either become a wrapper where the wire and curly Q's become the focus or the element your wrapping (cab, pottery, gem, etc) will be the focus. For a lot of us that are lapidary people who cut hunt, cut and grind we will usually show off the cab, I find people who mainly buy there elements the wire is the focus.
This most assurdly not to say one is better then the other but just the observation of an old man watching the hobby and industry for a few years. Happy wrapping and try everything till you find your niche.

oh my god! thanks for the responses guys.
i like to try and balance the focus of the piece between the wire and the rock, all the new techniques are keeping me going! i just look at finished pieces and try and pluck different techniques and see which ones i like the best

Are those war wounds or just protecting yourself? I myself sport many war wounds after working with wire.... You have some fabulous designs there, love the raw crystals.
