Hello,
Has any member seen or heard of a saw that cuts multiple slices rather than one at a time?
Many thanks,
Derek

Looks dangerous to me.i know when a vise chucks a rock it's catastrophic on a single blade.couldnt ot should i say wouldnt want to imagine things going wrong with 12 blades churning through a rock.might work well for soft stuff.id like to see it slab some jade or agate.

Yeah, I saw a smaller version of one of those gang saws once. Think it was a 24". I shudder to think of blade cost and how strong your motor would need to be. Shoot, I have a heck of a time getting a single saw blade running right when cutting hard materials.....Mel

I have the 10" gang saw that Dicky was selling. It works it just cuts real slow.

Many thanks James,
I followed your link and found the gang saw very interesting.
I think it would be safer if the blades were fixed and the rock being cut passed underneath.
That way it would be possible to bond the rock being cut to another piece which the vice would hold and thus no loose slabs.
These could then be removed later.
Many thanks,
Derek
