dang, it cost me $625!!
10 days in japan - $60 a day? Going on tour so only booze, one meal a day and souvenirs are all we spend on. Should be OKAY...

Radio, actually I have no desire to go to Madagascar. Everything there is so commonly found in the USA that the allure is lost. Japan has cool sh|t too! Emerald Grass Lizard Takydromas smaragdinusIshi's Frog Rana ishikawaeI am going on a foodie trip. Not a hunting trip. So no herping.

Radio, actually I have no desire to go to Madagascar. Everything there is so commonly found in the USA that the allure is lost. Japan has cool sh|t too! So no herping. to me, seeing and collecting Herps in their natural setting would be better than a really good rockhounding trip. I can buy most everything I would find, but the trip and actual collecting would be a blast. "Course you can't bring the critters home on the plane Have a fun trip and enjoy Japan.

Radio you have a LOT of patience and skill to cut out a half dollar coin like that! How will you use it in a piece of jewelery? I've wanted to try making rings out of quarters but don't have a punch to knock out t e hole in the center.I don't think drilling a 1/2" hole in a quarter would be very easy to do. connrock

I did not do that one. I just found a pic on Google search to illustrate coin piercing Someone probably played with that photo or used a sharpie to black out parts of the coin. The letters have to remain attached to the rim and these appear to floating in space

LOL connrock Go to the bank and get a few Kennedy halves to practice on. They are hard to cut but you can get some valuable experience that way and it only cost you fifty cents if you mess it up.
