I take it some of those were heated. I like seeing the light come through and all the structure. Nice ones!

I take it some of those were heated. I like seeing the light come through and all the structure. Nice ones! They are natural Ken. They turn to milk opacity when heated. Not heating it allows the light to come thru. The knappers heat it though. It is so glassy naturally they only take it to the low end of 500F. The cherty, grainy stuff needs 600-650F to make it glassy. The heat reduces it's mohs hardness I guess, it sure rounds easier if heated.
