I remember awhile back there was a rather lengthy discussion about some bad 301 or 303 blades. I need a new 16 inch blade, but don't want to buy one from a bad batch if all that hasn't been resolved. Plus, are todays chinese blades (like those from Lopacki?) just as long lasting?
Advise please.... and thanks! Phil

I would still get a 303. There's some less pricey sintered blades out there, but I never tried one. IMO all crimped edge blades are inferior, they will cut for awhile, but they leave bad saw marks.

Howdy Phil, I used to run 301-C or 303-S on my 20 inch saw with good results. I'd give the edge to the 303-S segmented rim for cutting a bit cooler, faster and longer. I've just loaded a BD-303 supreme on my 10inch saw and I'm really liking it so far. it's designed for cutting really hard material and seems to cut real well. 301-C continuous rim blades on my 10 inch saw seem to get dull awful quickly. I only use the cheaper Chinese blades on my 6" trim saw which gets rough use and they work well enough for the price which is only like $10 each.....Mel
