I overthought my set up trying to backlight and toplight in the same photo,but now I am actually looking forward to taking a picture of the whole tumble batch, especially now that Jugglerguy was nice enough to post a picture of his photographic set up.

Can't wait to see all the complete batches!

I didn't photograph my contest rocks in the tent. I took them into the garage, put them on a card table with the white cloth. While looking through the camera, I turned each rock until I got glare from either the window or the big garage door on it. I really think the glare of the sky on a rock makes the shine apparent.

I worked hard and knocked all the shine off mine in the photo so that you could see the pattern and I think the picture suffered for it
