Howdy folks, This specimen is from one of my sample pits I dug in the rain one day on the same ridge as the Flora Claim and a few hundred yards upslope from the Firefly deposit. This may be the only piece of this I brought to Texas but I had dug quite a bit. Think maybe Lowell got the big hunks when he cleaned up the extra rocks in my yard. This is super hematite rich, turned everything bright rust red, and weighed very heavy. Saw sounded like I was cutting an iron bar. Appears to be closely related to the Firefly material. Very solid stuff too....Mel Extra slab with a couple toenails sharpening stone cuts.
