Howdy folks, Still sawing samples from the Sierra Jasper pit. Unfortunately, did not find a lot of this and the nodules I did find are mostly way too large for my saw and will have to be broken up before I can work on them. Here are two more of the ten inch saw sized pieces I cut up. Thanks for lookin......Mel This one is trying to become Hornitos Brecciated jasper but finally just turned out like a weird abstract painting. This is a better example of true Sierra/Hornitos Brecciated Jasper much more typical of the type. At it's best, this is, in my opinion, one of America's finest brecciated jasper types easily rivaling Stone Canyon or Squires Ranch red brecciated jasper.

That is really cool looking material. The weird abstract painting is pretty interesting even if it isn't typical.

I love the way the example of true Sierra/Hornitos Brecciated Jasper red's and white's colors inter act with each other. Please show us a cab when you get one ground.
