I recently went to our cottage on Drummond Island (Lake Huron) for a whole week and out of all that time the only rock hounding I did was one hours worth in my neighbors gravel pit. He was loading dump trucks at the time so he was turning over some new material. group shot This one is pretty interesting and has a mossy green look to it. I think this one will meet the slab saw. Thanks for looking Chuck

That green one looks cool. Please post some post-slicing pictures. You sure have a lot of little tumblers in that batch, and do I see a few super-rare dark pudding stones in there?

We have nice neighbors too, they would be glad to have digging help, but all we have here is dirt. You are very fortunate, nice bunch of finds.

that's fantastic. Makes me remember to try to find some gravel pits around here to poke around in. In the very middle of that wonderful pile of rocks is one that looks striped horizontally... is that petwood or something else? great finds for only an hour's work!

snowmom - Gravel pits are quick easy rock hounding. I have not really looked at most of these since they went in the bucket after the photo but I think that striped one was just a layered rock but your right it does have a pet wood look and feel to it. Chuck
