So after my phone rant, I have since received 2 different order confirmations and 1 invoice stamped paid with the date (nothing taken from my checking yet) and all 3 emails had 3 different tracking numbers, none of which could be found @ USPS. I really, really, really don't want to deal w/ these folks again, but something's telling me it ain't over.

Re-checked tracking @usps. Now all 3 tracking numbers work, but there are now only 2 items on my order...wait...What?

Just got to the P.O. today, motor received, but haven't had the chance to compare new & old side-by-side yet. I'm still getting moved into my new digs, I'll have a look tomorrow.

...There used to be a company years ago with terrific prices. People would call and want me to match their prices. I would not. Several called back to order after finding out they added a hefty credit card charge, handling charge, and inflated shipping charge. Bombay Bazar maybe? They were around for years and I believe were owned by a foreigner too, who had some strange business practices. I believe I ordered from them once about twenty-five years ago. If I remember correctly it was a Crystalite last Lap and diamond compound. Still came out a little better than their competitors back then. I think they closed down two or three years ago. I remember hearing something about why but don't remember what it was exactly. Larry C.

So I compared new motor with old motor- 2 different animals- Old= Fasco New=Dayton. New motor has a 12" cord w/ a 2 prong plug, label on motor says it must be grounded. The old motor has a 6ft. cord w/ 3 prong plug. These differences were enough to get me back on the phone w/ Johnson Bros. who told me that the manufacturer changed motors awhile back. He had no idea why the short cord and ungrounded plug. So I called Lionel @ Tagit, who is a sweetheart of a guy to work with and will answer all your questions with great care. He's the inventor and designer of the Gy-Roc line, so it's coming straight from the horse's mouth. It seems awhile back, Fasco dumped him as a client because they now required a 250 unit minimum order and Lionel just hasn't the space anymore for that kind of inventory. He had to find a new supplier and it was Dayton, who had a similar motor, but had to shorten the shaft and add a plug and mounting point. Lionel says don't worry about the grounding issue, no one has fried yet. He also says he hasn't had any complaints w/ the new motor. To summarize, I was most disappointed w/ the quality of customer service @ Johnson Bros., and will not be ordering from them in the future. John @ J&S Gems was right about everything, I only wish I spoke w/ him 1st. Live and learn- A bargain is not always a bargain if you save cash but lose hair over it.
