Howdy folks,Had to spend most the cutting time yesterday on my sharpening stones. All those hard hematite rich jaspers were dulling my blade. Cool piece of Toenails though with almost a three dimensional effect. Got to cut me a cab from this for my collection....Mel Yesterday while looking for more ten inch saw sized pieces of Hornitos Jasper, I stumbled across a whole box of other misc poppy jasper I had forgotten all about. Only cut this one piece of poppy jasper and speaking of forgetting, it was not marked so I'm not sure where it's from. Not Morgan Hill but either Pope Valley or further north at Black Butte Reservoir. Used to fill my pockets with jasper around Black Butte when I was supposed to be deer hunting and had a gal friend in college who's father owned a huge ranch in Pope Valley where he let me hunt artifacts. Might have picked up Pope valley Poppy out there . Who knows cause I'm starting to get CRS disease *L*. This looked great on one end but as I cut through it the dang pattern disappeared. Oh well.
