I was digging through a bucket of Morgan Hill poppy scraps today at the rock store thinking what would Mel Sabre52 do, and came across an unusual chunk of some stuff that looked black on the outside with red poppies. It felt very solid and heavy for its size so I bought it for six bucks and it yielded six seven cabochon sized slabettes. One slabbette broke on a diagonal plane but both halves are solid and usable and that appears to be the only unstable fracture in the whole piece - I think I got lucky on the direction I chose to cut. The most surprising thing is the agate throughout the piece. It's really beautiful stuff in person - I've got the first cabochon pre-formed - it's bottom-right in the first picture. I'll try to finish it by next weekend. Thanks for looking

Tommy, I think it's beautiful in photos as well. Nice find, want to see a cab from it now!

I've never seen anything like that. I have had Morgan Hill that looks like this.
