cedar agates? as in fossilized agatized cedar? or is it a locality name? tell me more! you have a nice shine and a lot of good pattern going there- tremendous variety! your last group shot shows a minty green thing with red lines (and maybe brecciated) at about 11:00 in the photo.... curious what that could be?

snowmom, I think it's a locality name of cedar agates but could be wrong. It's very hard and colorful. Unsure what the green with red lines rock is, got it in the box from the tumbling contest. Red lines shined up better than the rest of the rock. I'll take a picture of it later and hopefully someone can identify it.

woo hoo, I knew it was a good one! does anybody know what that is? Similar to Kona Dolomite, but the color is a little different. JJim it looks like it polished up real well, must be pretty hard stuff then? Got more??? I'm not jealous or anything... nope, not me!

I have several pounds of the rough it came from left but don't know if there's more like this left. There's a grayish/red one in the second picture from that box. I'm going to send this one through the 500 grit and polish stage one more time and see if I can't get it to shine more. The flat side shined up pretty well but the rounder portion wasn't as good. It weighs .4 oz. right now.
