Emptied the UV-10 today. Haven't been tumbling as much lately due to getting a bit bored with it. This was just a mixed batch of this and that, mostly Texas wood, and I've shown y'all enough of that. Here are a couple of pics of some of the other stuff from the batch.....Mel Good ole Flint Ridge Flint. Kids like this so I had to restock. Ehh golden Rio Grande Moss and a banded flint from down that way:

nice looking flint. I have found that stuff to be a very dependable tumble. I almost went back to the ridge for more last weekend but the forecast looked bad.

I got bored with it after tumbling 60-70 pounds of it last year but I think if I had to recommend any rock for newbie tumblers that would be it. It wears down at a good rate in 60/90 and it takes a great shine without much effort.

have to love flint ridge flint... A local flint knapper gives me all of his junk flint to tumble... so far i have about 100 lbs of flint to tumble and he has another 5 gallon bucket ready for me (probably 4 gallon of tumble stuff)
