Hubby brought me some more, can't wait to take a trip up there with him, was going to go Saturday but those plans fell thru, maybe next weekend. Here's some quartz sandwiched between copper ore, not sure what the red is Prehnite, think it formed under a layer of copper ore You can clearly make out the botryoidal fracture Looks like a snakes head. Not sure what the black is but there's a gap in the quartz that makes it look like a mouth with teeth, nice little points inside My best guess is either beryl or tourmaline Chrysocolla and malachite with quartz on copper ore Really neat how the chrysocolla is coating the quartz Green Botryoidal prehnite and another mineral clear in color, was thinking tabular prehnite but it has a rainbow so now idk, it has clean cleavage so can't be quartz. Taking suggestions on this. You can see the rainbow in this pic Between the veins of prehnite there is a pocket of a softer mineral, my finger nail can dig into it and scrape it out, not sure what it is but it's not dirt Thanks for looking

The copper isn't an easy find in ct, you gotta be in the right spots and most are now residential neighborhoods. The prehnite too isn't easy to find. Hubby's got good luck I guess

Image 7 (Beryl or Tourmaline) Could be Beryl but not tourmaline.. Because both have different structures.. The Beryl would be cubic (Hexagonal shaped) while the Tourmaline would be an irregular circle shape and this crystals appears to have the cubic structure

Thx Stone Whisper, I've seen a few tourmaline that had defined edges (cubic) on it but not often and usually black tourmaline. Not well informed on either of those 2 minerals. Need to do more research, find a way to test is its beryl or something completely different
