Here's another naked piece- bailess, that is. Looks kinda naked. I've been playing with ways to spice it up. This has a faceted silver bead and prongs. Haven't been doing much wrapping, at all. I've been preoccupied with cabbing. But, today should work out to be a wrapping day unless some unforeseen family thingie interrupts me.

I got a very small, expensive slab with incredible pattern. The choice cab fell apart while cabbing it. This one stayed together- but it was this one that I thought would fall apart.

I like the naked look. It's clean and uncluttered to me. I don't like wraps that have too many frills that distract from the stone.

wonderful. ditto jugglerguy... your work compliments the stone but does not overwhelm it.

I agree, the stone is beautiful, and the wrapping is just enough. Perfect the way it is.

Absolutely elegant in it's simplicity. Less is definitely MORE with this piece.

Another vote for elegant simplicity. You got it!

awesome job!! What I'm seeing as a possibility is a slightly upward curved sterling tube of decent diameter with wire wrapping up, over and around it allowing the pendant to swing freely underneath. One would have to silver solder a couple of small sterling beads on the tube to keep the wire from sliding off one end or the other, but it would be a kick butt piece!

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. The thought has crossed my mind more than once. I can do it- I just haven't, yet. Something to work on...
