Took me a bit to get the pics and upload them. Wish I took pics there but would have been a hastle and I didn't want to be asked to leave for not asking permission to take photos. Best I have is pics of my purchases, so here goes: Azurite and malachite from tangshan mines, China This one reminded me of a tiny forest and its covered in tiny double terminated quartz. Conicalcite from mina la ojuela, mapimí, durango, mexico Fossil shark vertebrae from charleston harbor, S. Carolina Some little herkimers And a hunk of copper Thanks for looking

Enjoyed your pics of your show scores, transcendental! Did you make specimen cards for your purchases?

No I just hurriedly jotted the info down on the back of the business cards I got at the tables I bought them. The last 3 pics will end up as pendants and the copper maybe a tree base if I can do one small enough. I should have gotten another of the vertebrae, I want one for my collection lol. I will be emailing the guy I bought it from looking for another once I get paid again.

It's much nicer in person ...they all are. The azurite is crystal form and sparkles and the malachite is velvety, it makes for nice contrast aside from the color contrast. I'm glad I set a spending limit before I went in there or i would have left with a lot more than I did lol. They had some really nice cavansite and dioptase.... Neither of them are cheap

Some real nice shelf specimens there. I'm a little partial to the blues and greens of the azurite and malachite.
It's a good thing you set a spending limit. The last time I went rock hounding and visited a few rock shops in Maine, I also had to invest in a new display shelf. With another rock show this weekend in Parrsboro, NS, it's not looking good for me. LOL

Yup blues and greens are my weakness. I have an azurite and malachite specimen already but no where near as nice as this one and now I can let the one I already had go. (Bought it to make a sculpture but couldn't part with it)
I'm actually proud of myself I came back with cash still in my pocket lol
Lmao about you needing a new display shelf. Over the past 7 months I've accumulated so many rocks I had to build a new shelf myself, it's already more than half full if you include my wire wrapping and calligraphy supplies.

How big are those vertebrae? About the size of a quarter, perfect size to wire wrap
