Hello all,

I wanted to share some recent random pictures. I'm enjoying the summer, doing a lot of rockhounding and having fun in general.

I put a GoPro on my head last time I kayak hounded, but it wasn't tilted down enough to make a good video. But I still made a video.

Most of the pictures are dallasite and flowerstone.

Supermoon or whatever the other night.

This guy's hunting gooey duck.

This deer is eating samphire, or sea asparagus. I eat it too!

Anyone know what this is? Banded green rock, all over southern BC. Seems to range from opaque and hard to translucent and soft. Some long pieces I can bend with my hands.

Neat video and an interesting way to collect beach rocks. I struggle on foot dragging a 5 gallon bucket that must weight 50 lbs by the time it gets full.

Looks like the dogs enjoy the water and get a good workout.

Thanks, everyone. I wanted to post a much better rockhounding video but ended up making an acid trip of a video that starts off in double speed and then slows down. Whale noises too. Oh well.

Here are some recent fishing pictures. We picked up a dead deer on the way home and my girlfriend cut it up!

Schooling pink salmon below us. Didn't catch them this time and only found them at the end of the day. It was crazy, the line of fish on the fish finder never stopped. Sometimes there were massive fish down there too and I think it was picking up seals chasing the salmon, if seals can go that deep. Just glad we didn't see any whales. I know a lot of people like whales but I sure don't. Have had several close encounters. They are freaking terrifying. And I swear on my life they desire to tip your boat over. They will make a bee line for you from a mile away and surface right where you are/were.

Thank you. I've seen it worked and think it is pretty similar to Chinese writing rock, but I have never cabbed a thing myself! Sending some to Tommy to see if he can work his magic with it.
