Chuck what size saw do you have and what's a estimate of your oil usage for a thousand slabs? I am rebuilding a 18 inch Law a Co saw for Matk (Marinedad) in exchange for a 16 inch saw he is giving me. It's homemade but has a auto motor dive feed and is very capable! Mark is a great guy! Almost got his saw finished and ready to see haul it to him and watch him tackle a big huge picture jasper I brought him from Owhy3es. Just wandering how much oil usage is gonna cost me. I only have a little 6 trim saw and a gravity feed 10 inch and I use borax, water wetter and pink antifreeze in them. I like you pudding stone slabs, they show how the matrix affects things. I didna know there was a lot of mattix!

I didna know there was a lot of mattix! When I am cutting every night I should really do a full clean out every 2 weeks about 100 cuts. my saw is only a 14" and only takes 2.5 gallons so I usually get a little over one gallon back after filtering and have to buy a gallon and a half. Your picture jasper could be a good test. I have only cut a couple chunks of that and both times my saw did not like it. very hard stuff. Chuck

Love the banded hematite/jasper, just cut some Mary Ellen jasper recently so I'm familiar with the mess.

I still hold the puddingstone hi on the list. Looks like tight grained granite to me.

All nice stuff. I'll brt that hematite/jasper makes a really special mess. Always get a kick out of the puddingstone.
