Well James we took the mud motor out to the lake today and did not kill ourselves or anything else! It would not start so after checking it out I found the kill switch was bad bypassed it and it started right up! I am going to pick up a new one today I see why it is there the motor could get away from you if let it! That thing takes some getting use to! We both ran it around the lake awhile, getting use to turning it was the hardest part finally figured out to pull the motor out of the water and turn it and set it back in and it turned a lot better! It is fast! At idle speed it runs fasted than the 6hp we had on it in the river! We opened it up a few times and it was way to fast and harder to control. But all and all I love it! Still looking for a cheap 14ft lighter boat to rig it on then we will be set!

Should have a safety cut-off tether to wear around your wrist. They are efficient and get great mileage. Glad it's up and running. No water pump and lower end to fool with. Simple rugged machine. Rock guard may come in handy for the shoals. Those boats go thru water lilies and marsh grass like nothing. Get you back to the fishing holes where the others can't. Glad for you guys.

Hey James we took 3 motors with us to run and check out while we were at the lake.A lady ask Keith if we were the ones that kept running by her with different motors on the boat.I guess our job was done we give them a good laugh and something to talk about.
