After thawing out from my swim yesterday I kicked around the beach for a while and collected a hard hat worth of rocks. Mostly cryptocrystaline quartz up here... Jasper, flint, chert... Well, yesterday I found an agate! first time I've found one up here. The haul Some cool ones And the big winner of the evening

those are awesome! quite a nice batch of very hard rock... will you leave them as is, tumble, cut??? keep posting... I had no idea there were agates that far north. (though why there should not be eludes me)

Most will go in the tumbler. The agate will probably stay as is for now. I just assumed we didn't have any agates up there since I hadn't found any yet. Guess I was wrong. Also, that's a bitchin towel.
