glennz01 posted a thread with his interest in all things lapidary and wanting to earn some money to pay for his hobby by selling specimens and materials that he collected in Alaska. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/67020/material-sale-trade-updating-alaskanI contacted him via pm to ask about his Alaskan prehnite specimens. Probably drove the young man crazy with questions about his specimens...ahem. A couple of pm's later, he suggested that if I would give him a price range that I would like to spend, he would show me pictures of specimens. Here's the one that he selected for me, and it's beautiful!! He had the prehnite packaged for shipment before I paid for it. He also provided tracking info and it arrived safely today. I highly recommend glennz01 if you are considering purchasing any of his materials. Thank You, Glenn!! I posted pics of the prehnite in jakesrocks' Thumbnail Specimen Collectors Corner thread, and here it is if you haven't seen it. The photo does not do the specimen justice. Prehnite (Alaska)

That's real nice looking GK. Sure would like to stumble across some one day in the rockies. Planning to take a drive to the glacier fields this weekend and see what i can find in the grind.

Happy to share the rocks! If you want my picture feel free to have it also (pm me your email for raw photo) Once you clean it up it will look a lot nicer, if you use any stronger acids than what I recommended don't leave it in for long (if you want to try powerwashing be very careful as that sometimes breaks the base rock splitting the crystals.
