Hi All! This is serious rock found in the AZ desert Its pack jasper type of material as you can see on the bottom It weighs about 25lbs dead weight. It was pick up by my pal for various reasons But the big reason why were this those natural formed dimple There really strange how they formed in this rock So anyway another pal gave me this cut thunder egg or coconut geode. I tried doing some lapping and n polishing on these halves. Then I gave the ROCK eyes I see you Have fun Edmohs

Ha Ha We have eyes guarding this property All over I worked on flat lapping & polishing the eyes more today I’m pretty happy with the results. The picture doesn’t particularly show the polish. But it is vast improvement Flat lapping a geode (such as these) is really a tough gig. Maybe my abrasive laps aren’t good enough? Or my techniques is wanting? One thing I do know is that lapping & polishing a cut half of something is made much easier if the cut off the saw is as perfect and true as can be possible. The cut on these geode weren’t lousy -but it wasn’t fantastic either. Mostly
