That is some great looking material, truly fun stuff! I have had limited success so far in my rockhounding, nothing quite so spectacular. Have managed to drag home a few that impress but mostly its the "why did I haul this up from the river"? Thanks much for sharing

The purples are cool. A lot going on in that rock.

wow, that is beautiful and different... I'd be taking loads of walks back to that ditch, too. What a treasure right there at home!

Awesomely cool! So have you cabbed any of it yet. Does the gold areas polish up nice & shiny?

jamesp - I'm not sure what that purple stuff is, but it sure does pop. Even more so in person. snowmom - Neighbors always give me funny looks as I'm scratching around in easements and drainage ditches. lol If only they knew what I was finding! Donnie's Rocky Treasures - I'm REALLY slow at the cabbing process and would rather slab rocks all day. But I'll definitely get around to making something from this material, and when I do I'll be sure to post what I come up with...I'm wondering how those areas of gold will polish up as well. Anyone ever try to cab gold in quartz, for example?

Purple is tricky to photograph. Usually looks duller. I bet that stuff is rich purple.
