I went urban rockhounding this morning when I saw an ad on craigslist: seattle.craigslist.org/skc/gms/4624266235.htmlYou can see some pictures on the ad but here's some I took while I was picking up rocks and putting them in my bucket Their Great Dane (??) came out for a run and I swear it sounded like a horse galloping around: I spent about 45 minutes digging around the piles and filling a bucket. Bought a milk crate of picture jasper: Some Biggs Jasper: I also got to talk with the owner and he sold me some of his "secret" stash of purplish Biggs Jasper and a jade cobble:

What was in the $20 buckets? They had individual milk crates (jasper, obsidian, etc.) for $20 each as a fund raiser for the Everett Rock & Gem club. Then all of the u-pick and fill a bucket rocks were $20 per bucket or $50 for 3 buckets. Lots of petrified wood, obsidian, misc jasper and agates, and unidentified stuff. Lots of the $20 buckets (3 for $50) generally had smaller agate materials. The bigger rough was generally about $20 per piece although they gave me a deal for my bucket, 4 pieces of Biggs jasper, and jade cobble ($90). I have to get my 18" saw set up because most of the rough is way too big for my 10" saw.

Looks like fun and you made a good haul out of there. Half price? means you can buy twice as much, right?
