Looks like I have to go through stage 1 yet still again. I took some stones out which still look hopeless, and a few that seem ready for the fine grit. This lowered the level enough that I combined the two barrels and put one on empty. I will have to tell myself two things: 1) I am not James 2) My first load will not be my best. Patience young mongoose (makes as much sense as grasshopper...)

You are correct. Rarely is the first attempt at doing something the best results. put some more rock in the empty tumbler and get busy. I have been looking at some of my first rock and saying man you need to do these over again. remember some rock will never look good
