Here's a few cuts from this past weekend - not sure what the mystery agate is, another local rock cheap find WOWSER. Gary Green jasper aka Larsonite aka petrified bogwood Mary Ellen jasper - I love the variations in color & patterns - any advice in successfully getting a good shine via tumbling or cabbing this material is greatly appreciated as I know the hematite will be challenging to say the least. Local rock shop find from the cheap stuff "rock garden"- definitely a nice surprise inside!! Any ID help/suggestion/idea are welcome! Thanks for looking!! Gene

Nice green Mary Ellen! Your mystery agate looks like Big Diggins material to me. That white lacy or sagenitey stuff along the edges is very common at the Big Diggns site as are aragonite or calcite inclusions....Mel

Toad - pm me & we can figure something out, no one should have that many stars & not have a piece of this stuff!!

The Gary Green looks great. A few years ago when I was just starting out I cabbed a red Mary Ellen. At the time I was polishing w/ Tin Ox on felt & got a great shine on the cab.
