Very nice rhodonite slab and large piece of pet wood that you purchased, glennz01. Where is the pet wood from?

Arizona "Rainbow" Wood. Chances are, from Holdbrook, Arizona or nearby. That will make a lovely cheese board. As for the Rhodonite, about the right size for a pate board if you square it up.

Polished the cut side of that wood up... Its hard polishing with a 1 speed angle grinder... I need a variable speed grinder. Its so shiny I can see my face in it! Has a 10,000 grit polish... If i had a variable speed grinder i would re polish it.

That's some purdy wood! I would make some earring pairs from the pink parts of the rhodonite. They don't always to have to have black in them. Lots of people just like pink stones.

Yeah, I have a little bit of other pink material I found before I had the saw... I broke most of it up for tumbling but I think I have a piece i can cut.

Your pet wood sure is pretty after you gave it a good shine, glennz01!
