I have a habit of cutting rock for a weekend, then emptying out the saw. As the oil turns colors usually red is the worst, can it dye the other slabs that sit in it for a day or two sometimes? Haven't ever noticed that but am curious.
Thanks

Anything porous enough for that is probably garbage any way.

Na',your all right with that....Oil is to pricey to be changing all the time... I usually wait to cut jaspers(they bleed a lot),till I'm about ready to change the oil..

Sometimes, yes. Lepidolite is one gem material that will really take a stain from dirty oil. Basically, many softer or more porous materials may absorb oil stains but this can be prevented by immediately putting them in absorbent material and washing with detergent before the oil really soaks in....Mel
