I put this together this spring as part of a landscape redesign.

fun to do. I love the sound of water on rocks! Looks like you probably hounded most of those. What a nice way to use the leaverites that accidentally came home, and became shouldalefterites....

Beautiful. I love rocks in landscaping, all the more since getting into this hobby. Great work.

That's a beautiful creation, polishedball! How did you make the waterfall? Is that a light on the right side of the photo?

Yes it is lit at night with two solar lights. I buried 100g horse stock tank in the ground, used a 3500gph pump, covered the tank with a grate. I did not want an exposed pond algae issues so I went pondless. Then covered it with rock. The basic structure is cinder block, with a pond liner covering. I then used some larger drywall pieces I purchased, then a bunch of my rough rock to fill in. Any questions feel free to ask.

Very cool! Good grief, is that several hundred bucks worth of tiger-eye blocks I'm seeing in there? *S*.....Mel

There is a little over a hundred pounds of it, mostly on the left side. Next year I'll rework that side for a more balanced look and move some to the flowing river I want to create in the back yard.

Very nice! Cool that you just happened to have all those rocks lying around... You did a great job.
The water falling into my little pond makes a soothing noise. It also attracts wildlife, some wanted (small birds to drink and bathe), some unwanted (crows and raccoons washing parts of dead animals in it - ick!). Pondless is the way to go, unless you plan on growing pond plants. Maintenance and algae are a PIA.
