Don, In the past week I've tried to silver solder a fine silver bezel wire to a piece of copper (3 times) to make a pendant for a friend. In all 3 attempts I melted the bezel wire and am pretty disgusted with myself right now. I've done this many, many times in the past with no problems and have even taught others how to do it through e-mail and photos. I don't know what's going on in my head but I don't think I can even attempt the bracelet right now so I'll just put it on hold for the time being. connrock That's a pretty tough connection since copper has a higher melting point than the fine silver. What temp solder are you using? might want to try a low temp solder if you haven't already. Also, make sure the copper is perfectly clean.

For the silver bezel on copper sheet:
1- heat up the copper first, keeping away from the bezel, then approach the bezel 2- use a copper bezel
I've never tried the above.

Don and Pat,, Thanks for trying to help me,,,, The copper was perfectly clean and I used Easy solder,,,,I've done many of this type of mixed metal settings in the past but for some reason my mind just can't "fix" or "concentrate" on what I'm doing right now. I'm getting older and I sure hope my mind isn't playing tricks on me! connrock
