nice surprise! I would not have expected those deep colors inside! not a clue as to what it is, but it is very pretty stuff!

Locally everyone that has scene this is saying it is Utah Bertrandite, think some call it tiffany stone.

Utah does have colorful rock coming from there,just keep bumping the thread or post it in the ID area...Thumbs up

This stuff is no longer dug if I am correct. It was all harvested for the beryl ore.

I'll have to find my picks to test, but I'd guess from using some quartz I have hardest parts are near 7, but there is some softness in the white areas. I noticed most images were different, but found a couple on the web matching. I'll try to post some other slab pics later, when I posted I used the most purple slices.
