Well this is what the area looks like where i find prehnite.... This is not the exact spot accept the photo that shows the prehnite i place. I hiked 2 miles along the cliff by the end of the day. Only found prehnite in the first mile... but i will want to continue where i left off some day. I have yet to locate a scours of rough non crystals.... but when i do find good rough i usually take it which isnt much. From opposite the cliff on a spot that does have prehnite A bowling ball Looking down the cliff Across the way to the section line to my left Looking out to my right towards where my car is parked (beyond where my photo goes) The opening on my pocket Too large to take back Largest piece i was able to bring back on that trip (approx 5" by 5")

That's a mighty large bowling ball, glennz01! Looks like that's out in the sticks. Very pretty prehnite you found, too.

It is still up on top the cliff by my hole... Its one i took out last year and the rain washed it off.... Couldn't get any of the plates off without destroying it. There are even larger ones i took out this year that i will photograph next year when i go back up... unless they are washed out if i go back up this year. I am hoping to go back up if i can find someone willing to come with. The piece you bought from me came out of that hole. It is very hard to get any large plates out an bring them back down.... If only i lived there

I would but not to my good spot at least not until i get it mined out more. I don't need it to dissapear on me as its high quality stuff, theres only a few people i can take with me as they don't like rocks

Don't worry. I have a better source for prehnite 20 miles north of Bonnie Lake.

It is very hard hiking though... not as hard compared to some other places but still hard.
