I see barnacles, so that is obviously salt water. Pretty area and a wide shore. Maybe low tide ?
Are those tumbles small pebbles you are tumbling? Or did you break bigger cobbles to make those ? Looking forward to seeing those tumbles, great patterns in them.
Great website, I think some one is addicted in a bad way. Dallasite looks great. I see a rock saw in your future. The kayaks are perfect for collecting there. What will you do in the winter, guessing bare feet will not be an option

What will you do in the winter, guessing bare feet will not be an option That's the Pacific Ocean on the east side of Vancouver Island, which is the Georgia Strait. The tide goes out very far here and it was low indeed, though not as low as it gets. High tide was a rock hound killer until I figured out to use the kayaks. On a side note, these beaches are full of Dungeness crabs. The tumbles are small pebbles. I have not been breaking rocks yet. I definitely see a saw in my future too! I can't wait for winter! We had such a hot and dry summer. In winter, no one will be at the beaches and the perpetual rain will illuminate every rock out there. Thanks for the reply!
