Nice coral! Looks very translucent... If it were mine, I would orient the polyps so that they align with the face of the slab (Circles from the front, not parallel lines)... Are they from Indonesia or Florida?

Most likely Indonesian, fine specimen. Where did you get/find it?

I would lean to Florida, these were collected by my grandfather and I don't believe he ever went to indo. Here is another that I just cut. I have 9 of these.

Please let me know if there is a way to tell the location differences.

I think those would make AMAZING cabs! I vote for cutting horizontally so that the individual coralites show like in your last picture!

James where are you hiding these? Nice should make nice cabs! A) I could have told you but the river is too high. B) I sold them to polishedball's Grandfather. C) I have my secrets. D) They came from Indo My guess is they came from Indo. It usually has the polyped surface.

A man I knew from Tampa had coral that was insane. Development covered up his honey holes long ago. There is really no telling. Where was your Grandfather living in Florida ?

They had a place near Serasota in Florida, but also lived in Nevada, Utah, and Missouri.
